Project Details

EPOC completed the design of the Wingsville Pedestrian Bridge in Soufriere (September 2011) under a design build project for contractor Cutting Edge Construction. Epoc Consulting served as a Designer and undertook the geotechnical/structural design on the abutments and girder deck. The geotechnical design was done in accordance with AASHTO 17th, IBC 2015 and utilized a pseudo static acceleration to model the effects of earthquake on the abutments. Critical state soil mechanics was used to develop the engineering soil strength parameters for undertaking the geotechnical design.
